Diana Crespo

Diana joined SMILE as a Program Coordinator. Diana's work focuses on establishing and maintaining efforts to engage families of SMILE students in SMILE and community activities throughout the school year. For several years, she worked as a doctoral research assistant exploring the engagement of multilingual learners and their families during science co-learning experiences in SMILE clubs, and her graduate research examines how multilingual family engagement in science learning during informal nature field trips could improve students' science learning and increase their interest in nature and science. Diana enjoys riding her bike to campus.
