Beaver Hangouts Beaver Hangouts mission is to provide all students with an equal opportunity for college access and readiness through the use of technology, more specifically through the use of Skype. Through technology and near-peer mentoring, volunteer students from Oregon State University each academic term connect with rural and underserved K-12 classrooms, community colleges, non-profit organization, and community partners across Oregon. 4-H Youth Development 4-H helps young people learn and grow through an intentional process that builds competence, confidence, connection, compassion, and character. Currently, more than 100,000 young people across Oregon participate in 4-H. Leadership and oversight of 4-H at the local level is provided by a faculty member of Oregon State University who lives or works in the community they serve.
