Our mission is to provide engaging learning experiences rooted in equity and inclusion that promote youth success.

Our Vision

We are creating a world where all youth envision their potential, have a sense of belonging, thrive and succeed.

Our Impact

In 2018 there were over 70 OSU youth-serving programs. Some of our impacts include:

Science & Math Investigative Learning Experiences Program

  • 2017-18 SMILE Clubs included 673 students, comprised of 41% Latino, 12% American Indian/Alaska Native, 1% Asian, 17% Multi-Racial, 90% low-income, 83% first generation to college, and 64% female
  • 65 K-12 teachers, 38 SMILE Clubs

Beaver Hangouts

  • 25 college student coaches, Skyping into 30 classrooms, serving more than 550 4th-12th grade students

Campus Field Trip Program

  • The Campus Field Trip program served 7,182 students, comprised of 50% minority and/or first generation to college, and 62% low-income
  • An additional 804 teachers and parent chaperones were also served
  • 17,690 K-12 contact hours

iINVENT Summer Camps

  • In summer 2018, 14 week-long and four 2-day invention, mobile camps were offered across Oregon serving 467 middle school students
